Pond Present
Work
started on the ponds last November with the removal of
many, many Box Elders. This year we installed the
new Boardwalk and a week later we had two ponds!
One is already wet, one still dry. We hope spring
rains will fill them. As these areas develop and
we find the water paths we will add boardwalk sections.
Art
Kitchen of the US Fish and Wildlife who has helped us
with grants provided a contractor who cleared and
scraped the area east of the viewing tower. The large
black area visible around the tower will be seeded to
extend the prairie.
